Contract Negotiation and Compensation Advisory

How It Works

01

Interview and Offer Preparation

Before there is an offer, or before you go back with a counter. Employer research, a question list built for that specific organization, and a call to prepare you for the conversation.

02

Contract and Compensation Analysis

The agreement read against the compensation model behind it. For clinicians: where wRVU credit actually posts and when, what the threshold assumes about your case mix, and what happens to your pay when the payer mix moves. For executives: how the incentive plan is scored, what triggers severance, and what an award is worth after tax and after vesting.

03

Negotiation Strategy

A prioritized set of business requests developed with the client, each sorted by which budget line the employer can actually move. Salary is the line with the least room. Retirement contributions, CME, malpractice tail, administrative support, protected time, paid leave, and severance terms come from different lines with different approval thresholds and different slack.

04

Negotiation Support

Support through the exchange itself: language, sequencing, what to ask for first, and what to concede and when. You remain the negotiator and the relationship stays yours. We stay behind you.

05

Support Through the Life of the Agreement

The engagement does not end at signature. It runs the term of the agreement. When the first productivity statement or the first incentive payout arrives and the number looks wrong, you already have us, and you are not starting a new engagement to find out why.

Why Stage 5 Matters

Most contract help ends at the signature, which is exactly where the compensation questions begin. Close to ninety percent of the work in a negotiation happens before signing. Almost all of the money is paid out afterward.

HOW WE DIVIDE THE WORK

We examine the business value of compensation and incentive arrangements and organize questions about severance, deferred compensation, equity, and vesting for your legal, tax, and investment advisors. Counsel interprets legal terms and drafts or revises the agreement.
